A Loan against Property, secured by residential,commercial or industrial property, can serve a wide range of purposes, both individual and business-related. It can be employed for virtually any legitimate purpose, excluding speculative or prohibited activities.

The lending bank primarily assesses your repayment capacity. To calculate the eligible loan amount, they generally consider factors such as your income, age, loan purpose, business performance, past repayment history and creditworthiness etc. However, the loan eligibility generally does not exceed 70 percent of the property’s market value.
You have the option to generally include your blood relatives or spouse as a co-applicant, which can lead to a higher loan amount being sanctioned. However, if the property is jointly owned, all co-owners are mandatorily required to be co-applicants.
Interest on a Loan against Property is computed on a reducing balance method. This results in lower Equated Monthly Installments (EMIs) compared to loans with fixed balance interest rates.
Loans against property typically have a maximum tenure of upto 15 years, subject to overall respective lending critetrions.
Any Residential, commercial, industrial property with clear ownership title can be considered as a collateral / security.
Yes, you can repay the loan ahead of schedule subject to respective terms and conditions of respective financial instiitutions.
